Brigitte Binkert

Being an estate planning, probate and trust attorney allows me to combine my professional skills and my passion: helping others and writing.

I opened my own practice in Mountain View in 2009, after having worked at the Ansari Law Group, a small law firm, where I advised individuals, small businesses and corporate clients on all aspects of trademark and copyright law, business formation and contract matters.

Soon I started receiving repeated requests from friends and acquaintances to draft estate plans for them. At the same time my husband and I had just had an estate plan set up by another attorney. I liked the experience a lot, and decided to transition my practice from trademark and business law to estate planning, trust administration and probate. I have never looked back and now happily devote my time exclusively to estate planning, trust administration and probate.

Admitted to the California State Bar in 2007, I hold a Certificate in International Law with Honors from the University of San Francisco School of Law. I was also managing editor of the University of San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Bulletin and am the published author of an article on the Global Intellectual Property Framework under Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS).

Before becoming an attorney, I advised technology clients at Edelman Public Relations in Silicon Valley and was a elementary school teacher in Switzerland.

A native of Switzerland, I am fluent in German and English. I currently live in Mountain View, California, with my husband and our two children. When I am not in the office, I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, yoga and swimming.
